Informovanost laické a zdravotnické veřejnosti o močové inkontinenci - I. část

Inkontinence je závažným celospolečenským problémem, který vyžaduje ještě velké množství práce v oblasti zajištění adekvátních služeb a přístupu zdravotníků. Účinná propagace kontinence může vést ke změnám postojů, zlepšení léčby a výsledků. Informovanost laické a odborné veřejnosti a jejich vzdělávání jsou základními způsoby, jak tohoto zlepšení dosáhnout. Zlepšení informovanosti by mělo být zaměřeno nejen na hodnocení, ale rovněž na navázání kontaktu s postiženými, aby rozpoznali inkontinenci a uměli ji zvládat. Nesmíme zapomenout, že inkontinenci lze nejen léčit, ale často výrazně zlepšit. Kromě toho lze dosáhnout sociální kontinence, t.j. čistoty za pomoci vhodných pomůcek.
