Testicular cancer is the most freqent malignancy among 20–40 years old males. There has been significant increase of its incidence during last 40 years, with reference to individual countries. Despite these facts the management of testicular cancer is on the highest level from all the urological malignancies. There have been new challenges in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of therapeutic toxicity. The most important way of therapeutic modalities is the multidisciplinary approach (surgery and the cisplatin-based chemotherapy). The research on drug-toxicity elimination has been still proceeding.

Paruresis is a pathological condition characterized by inability to urinate during nonstandard situations. The most frequent is presence of other people during micturia, foreign environment, time stress, etc. From psychology-psychiatry view it belongs to obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorder (OCSD), or to so called social phobias. There is no attention paid to this dysfunction from urologist side, in spite of possible development of serious miction dysfunction. Author brings information on current role and place of penile prosthesis in the treatment of erectile dysfunction in this article. This message is based both on literature and large own experiences (Department of Urology, University Hospital Brno was the first place in Czech Republic, which introduced an implantation of the inflatable penile prosthesis into armamentarium of erectile dysfunction treatment). Information on this treatment modality are important especially for younger generation urologists, which could not meet it so far, however it is a treatment modality, which importance and need rises at present time.

Chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP / CPPS) is a disease with relatively high prevalence especially in younger patients visiting urology departments. Its cause is usually multifactorial. CP / CPPS presents with urinary difficulties and pelvic pain. The authors summarize their own clinical experience with sexual dysfunction in these patients.
