Chlamydial infections diagnostics

Chlamydial infections could possibly lead to a serious damage of human´s health. Chlamydia pneumoniae is the most common pathogen

from this genus, causing primarily respiratory tract infections. The highest attention is concentrated to Chlamydia trachomatis. Chlamydia

psittaci infections are also very important and could be very serious. Diagnostic approach, direct or indirect detection, is influenced singnificantly

by clinical manifestation and chlamydial species. Sampling of a biological material for testing and its quality are absolutely essential.
