Historie

Začátky koagulace cévního krvácení se datují do roku 1920-1928, kdy neurochirurg H. Cushing a fyzik W. T. Bovie sestrojili první přístroj (poprvé použit 1924). V roce 1968 byly vyvinuty současné přístroje s tzv. cirkulujícím prouděním, kdy proud cirkuluje jen mezi generátorem a elektrodami. V roce 1981 byly vyvinuty monitorovací systémy kontaktu elektrod. Od roku 1994 jsou doporučovány odsávací systémy pro odsávání par.
