Autoři popisují vlastní zkušenosti s užitím kondomu k fixaci obvazu po operacích na penisu. Užití kondomu se jeví jako dostupný, levný a účelný prostředek k fixaci obvazu. Elasticita kondomu nebrání dobrému prokrvení tkání penisu. Odstřižená špička kondomu umožňuje spontánní mikci či pooperační katetrizaci močového měchýře. Transparentnost kondomu umožňuje inspekci obvazu a tloušťkou vrstvy obvazu, pod kondomem si operatér reguluje dosažení potřebné komprese, což snižuje pooperační otok a přispívá k hemostáze. Odstranění do 24 hodin po operaci předchází případné zapářce.
