Adrenocortical carcinoma is a relatively rare, but very malignant disease. Complete surgical removal of tumour tissue is the only chance for the patient. Other treatment methods fail to result in satisfactory outcomes. Therefore, early disease diagnosis is essential that is based on a close collaboration of the endocrinologist, radiologist, and surgeon. The review article discusses the fundamental principles of the diagnostic and therapeutic process, with emphasis being placed on utilization in the practice.

Cryptorchidism is a pathological condition in which the testicle is stored outside of the scrotum. It is one of the most common congenital anomalies affecting more than 3 % of full-term and 9–30 % of preterm male infants. Long-term abnormal deposit of the testicle in adulthood leads to a reduction in fertility and an increased risk of developing cancer. Therefore any positional anomalies of testicle require treatment, which should end in 12–18 months of age. We present a case of undescended testis in adult men.
