The incidence of lithiasis in children and adolescents is currently on the rise. The main factors of the increase are changes in eating habits in children, lower physical activity and improved diagnostic possibilities. On examination the focus is on the analysis of the stone and metabolic investigations, which then allows a specific metaphylaxis. Therapy has been based on extracorporeal lithotripsy for a long time, but with the miniaturization of instrumentation, the number of endoscopic procedures increases.

Keywords: lithiasis, stone composition, lithotripsy, endoscopy, metaphylaxis.
