Retroperitoneal fibrosis is a rare chronic inflammatory disease. Urologist have major role in it's diagnosis and treatment because

of typical symptoms of obstruction of ureters. Around 1/3 of cases follows various diseases. The rest of cases has idiopathic ethiology

and is called Ormond's disease. The biggest contribution to diagnosis has CT scan and histological examination of bioptic

material: Because of rarity of disease there are not enough data on effects or assessment of therapy. There is constant search of

new drugs and their combination. New invasive procedures like robotic-assisted surgery and autotransplantation of kidney also

appear. The combination of surgical therapy and pharmacological therapy seems suitable.
