Aragonite urolithiasis

MUDr.Martin Kučera
Urologické oddělení Nemocnice Kyjov

Aragonite is considered to be rare in mineralogical analysis of urinary calculi. It’s often interpreted as an artifact in a mixture of other

crystals of the calculi. We present a case of patient with 16 stones formed by aragonite. Common investigative procedures failed to detect

certain metabolic disorder and therefore metaphylaxis and treatment fail.
