Epidemiology of bladder cancer

Bladder cancer is the most common cancer of the urinary system. In the ranking of all cancer it is the ninth most frequently diagnosed cancer

in the world. Incidence rates rises sharply with age but mortality remains relatively stable in recent years. The aim of this review is to give

a comprehensive view of bladder cancer. The first part of the review is devoted to the occurrence of bladder cancer in the Czech Republic and

in the world. The second part summarizes an overview about the potential risks and the protection factors for formation of bladder cancer.
