The dynamically growing numbers of obese people in both the developed and developing world pose greater demands on health, social,

and economic systems in individual countries. Virtually all physicians must be prepared to fight obesity since increasing numbers of their patients

will be obese persons. The paper provides basic instructions on how to approach obese patients, how to examine and treat them.
