Ošetřování dekubitů

Dekubity, neboli proleženiny jsou defekty kůže vyvolané většinou tlakem proti kosti v místech s malou vrstvou tukové nebo svalové tkáně. Čím je tenčí vrstva těchto tkání, tím je větší riziko jejich vzniku. Po dobu působení tlaku jsou tkáně špatně zásobovány živinami a kyslíkem, proto dochází k jejich postupnému odumírání a ke vzniku dekubitů. Ty se tvoří velmi rychle a v některých případech vznikají řádově během desítek minut. Rozsah poškození tkáně závisí na době a intenzitě tlaku, hmotnosti nemocného, na jeho pohyblivosti, na odolnosti organizmu na tlak a na metabolickém stavu tkání. Významný je i vliv infekce.
