Autoři uvádějí neobvyklý případ závažného poranění pánvičky ledviny a subrenálního močovodu při tupém poranění dutiny břišní u polytraumatu. Poukazují na nenápadné klinické příznaky, nutnost správného diagnostického postupu při abdominálním polytraumatu, a především indikaci výpočetní tomografie s aplikací kontrastní látky. Při operačním řešení pak zdůrazňují snahu o záchovný výkon a možnost využití interponovaného střevního segmentu k rekonstrukci pánvičky a proximálního úseku močovodu.
