Autor se věnuje problematice syndromu transuretrální resekce - závažné komplikaci transuretrální elektroresekce prostaty, která patří mezi nejčastější operační výkony u mužů nad 60 let. První část sdělení je věnována patofyziologii, klinickým projevům, diagnostice a terapii. V druhé části pak uvádí spolu s kazuistikou výskyt TUR syndromu a používaná preventivní opatření na vlastním pracovišti.

TUR syndrome

Author presents problems of transurethral resection syndrome - a serious complication of transurethral prostate endoresection, which nowadays belongs among the commonest surgery in men over 60 years of age. The first part of a case report deals with a pathophysiology, clinical signs, diagnostic and therapy. The second part he presents a case report itself and also used preventive measures in his own department.
