Infekce močových cest způsobené kvasinkami

Přítomnost kvasinek v moči nemusí být indikátorem kvasinkové močové infekce. Na druhé straně přítomnost plísně v moči může být prvním symptomem systémového onemocnění. Stanovení diagnózy infekce močových cest způsobené kvasinkami je proto závažné a vyžaduje přesné mikrobiologické vyšetření a klinickou rozvahu. Pokud je kandidurie projevem systémového onemocnění, je indikována systémová antimykotická terapie s dobrým účinkem v oblasti močových cest.

Fungal urinary tract infections

The presence of Candida in the urine is not consider normal but does not necesarilly indicate urinary tract infection. On the other hand, yeasts in urine culture might be the first symptom of systemic fungal infection. Establishment of an accurate diagnosis of urinary tract infection, caused by Candida, is important and require accurate microbiologic examination and clinical premeditation. If the candiduria is a manifestation of systemic disease, systemic antifungal therapy with good penetration in urinary tract is indicated.
