A new diagnostic algorithm in primary diagnosis of prostate cancer

Prostate biopsy still remains an essential step to confirm the diagnosis of prostate cancer . In connection with the new studies and the resulting recommendations a diagnostic algorithm was compiled on the basis of which further examinations are indicated. It is about simplifying the decision-making process, which over time with the addition of other diagnostic modalities (e. g. MRI) has become somewhat confusing even for clinical urologists. The aim of this work is to provide simplified guide to implementation of guidelines EAU, when prostate biopsy is indicated (1).
