DETERIORATION OF VOIDING FROM ANATOMIC AND FUNCTIONAL CAUSES IN CHILDREN

At least 25 % of clinical probleme, seen in paediatric urology, are the consequences of voiding problems, which are caused most often by lower urinary tract dysfunction or anatomic obstruction as for example the posterior urethral valve. These diseases affect in most serious cases not only lower urinary tract, but kidneys function too. Correct, early diagnosis is the most important condition for succesful treatment.
